Dance styles covered include clogging, flatfoot, buck, hoedown and rural tap dancing. The film also touches on personal "footlature," comparisons between white and black communities, and Native American stylistic influences. SUNDAY 2/03 The Ralph Stanley Story (feature) Sourwood Mountain (short) with Town Mountain playing music between films The Ralph Stanley Story - This film is an intimate portrait of Grammy Award winning tenor, banjo player, and bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley. Interviews with Ralph Stanley and fellow musicians touch on the early years of his career, musical roots in the Clinch Mountains of Virginia, and the death of his brother and long-time musical partner Carter Stanley. Live performances by Ralph include "Rank Stranger" and "Man of Constant Sorrow." Appearances by Larry Sparks, Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakum, Patty Loveless.
