Montana Slim Stringband (MSSB) is an emerging progressive stringband from San Francisco that deliver invigorating live performances peppered with dueling melodic fiddle, mandolin and acoustic guitar improvisation. Passionate vocal harmonies, reflective lyrical tales, and solid foundational bass rhythms are trademarks of MSSB’s original youthful interpretation of bluegrass. MSSB is a high energy four-piece stringband and now with their first full length LP, Slim Pickins, released in 2009. The band features Sean(lead acoustic guitar/vocals, Brent(mandolin/vocals), Turi- (fiddle/vocals), Jesse(acoustic rhythm guitar/vocals), and Dave (upright Bass).
