Don't Look Back is an eclectic (not electric) acoustic string band with a wide repertoire ranging from old-time to folk and country, from Cajun to jazz, and swing. The band prides itself on thoughtful arrangements and rich vocal harmonies, and an expanding segment of their repertoire includes original songs by band members. Initially formed in Santa Cruz in the mid-80’s, the band is now based in Berkeley. All the years that this band has played together is reflected in their genuine love of the music they play, their smooth and relaxed performing style, and their down-home stage presence. The band features John Bidwell (vocals, dobro, lap steel guitars), Brian Bloom (vocals, guitar, mandolin), John Croizat (vocals, fiddle, guitar, mandolin), Willie Pettus (vocals, mandolin, guitar), and Dale Scott (standup bass, bass guitar).
